What Is Context?
Context is a centralized space in Waybook where you can store, manage, and organize raw information, enabling your team to:
Access Information Quickly: Files and notes uploaded to Context are searchable, making them instantly usable by your team.
Set File Permissions: Control who can access your files by organizing them as:
Public: Accessible to everyone in your team.
Private: Visible only to you.
Admins Only: Restricted to admin users.
Prepare for Knowledge Conversion: Use Context as a staging ground for turning information into structured knowledge documents.
Leverage Smart Convert: Select multiple files or notes in Context and use Waybook’s Smart Convert to transform them into actionable knowledge.
How to Use Context
Upload Files and Notes
Navigate to Context:
At the top of your Waybook, click on the Context tab.
Upload Documents or Paste Raw Text:
Drag and drop, or upload your Word documents (.docx), PDFs, or text files.
Paste meeting transcripts, brainstorming thoughts, rough notes, or any unstructured ideas directly into Context.
Examples:
Meeting minutes from your weekly team sync.
Rough drafts of a new policy or procedure.
Brainstorm notes for upcoming projects.
Set File Permissions:
Set file permissions (Public, Private, or Admins Only) by moving files to the appropriate folder to control access.
Access Context via Search or Smart Convert:
Use Waybook’s search to locate files and notes in Context, or get deeper insights with Ask.
Select multiple files in Context to use Smart Convert, creating structured knowledge documents from raw information.
Benefits of Adding Notes:
Quickly capture ideas without needing immediate structure.
Ensure your team has access to valuable insights and raw data.
Build a repository of information to revisit and formalize later.
Search and Access
Once uploaded or added, your team can:
Search Documents and Notes: Use Waybook’s search bar or Ask to find files and information, depending on the file permissions set.
Ensure Information Availability: Provide access to critical data even before it’s structured into formal documents.
Transform Information with Smart Convert
Select one or multiple files or notes from Context.
Click on Smart Convert to create structured knowledge documents from your raw information and assign them to the appropriate subject.
Edit and refine the generated documents to suit your team’s specific needs.
