Embedding videos can make the steps of your documents more engaging, help to demonstrate key practices within your business and help to condense big chunks of text into easy-to-digest videos.
At Waybook, we're pleased to offer limitless HTML embedding so you shouldn't have any difficulty embedding videos from your team's favourite video platform using an HTML embed code. However, we have covered the specific steps for embedding videos from some of the most commonly used sources below.

We are unable to support CNAME links for any of the following platforms. If you use CNAME, simply reformat your link following the example structures or reach out to the support team for help.
Embedding videos in your Waybook steps
Find out how to embed videos using these sources:
YouTube
To embed videos using YouTube:
Go to the video you want to embed on YouTube
Under the video, click 'Share'
Click 'Embed'
From the box that appears, copy the HTML code
Go back to Waybook and paste this into the Waybook embedder
Your link should look like this ⬇️
Google Drive
To embed videos using Google Drive:
Go to your video file in Google Drive
Double click to 'preview' then click the three dots in the top right corner
Click 'Open in new tab' to actually open the media file
Check your 'Share' settings and make sure 'anyone with a link can access'
Click the three dots again and select 'Embed item'
Copy the embed code and paste this into the Waybook embedder
Your link should look like this ⬇️
Vimeo
To embed videos using Vimeo:
Go to the video you want to embed in Vimeo
Click the three dots in the bottom right corner
Click 'Embed' and wait for your video to be converted
Click the 'Embed code' button to copy the URL to your clipboard
Paste the embed code into the Waybook embedder
Your link should look like this ⬇️
Loom
To embed videos using Loom:
Click the video you want to embed in Loom
Click the 'Share' button at the top of the dashboard
Select 'Embed'
The code should be automatically copied to your clipboard
Go back to Waybook and paste this into the Waybook embedder
Your link should look like this ⬇️
Publitio
To embed videos using Loom:
Go to your Media Library
Select '...' for more options on the video you wish to embed
Select 'Embed/Player codes'
Copy the Embed URL and make sure you're not using the CNAME version if you have this enabled in Publitio
Go back to Waybook and paste this into the Waybook embedder
Your link should look like this ⬇️
Wistia
To embed videos using Wistia:
Open the project containing the video you wish to embed in Wistia
Select the video you want to embed within the project
Press the '</> Embed & Share' button at the top of this view
Make sure you have the embed type set to 'fallback'
Copy only the link highlighted in the screenshot below
Go back to Waybook and paste this into the Waybook embedder
Berrycast
To embed from Berrycast, use the 'conversation link' for your video.
