To ensure all of your team engage with your documents on Waybook, you want to make each step as engaging as possible - we all know how tricky it can be to churn through huge blocks of text. With our editor, it's incredibly easy to do!

In this article, we'll help you navigate the Waybook editor so you can clearly format your SOPs, embed images and videos to your playbooks, and even highlight key sections or tips using callouts.

Before we dive into the various options available within our editor, you'll need to make sure you're in edit mode by toggling the switch on in the right-hand corner of your dashboard.

To create content, begin typing to start a new paragraph, and use the toolbar at the top of the step. Select any of the different options from emojis, PDF embeds, external links (hyperlinks), file attachments, and more.

Or click the '+' icon to add a heading - hitting the six dots will open a menu, where you can choose between H1, H2, H3, and H4. Clearly outline key processes using bullet points or numbered lists. You can also insert a table to visually demonstrate key information.

Make your documents more engaging with diagrams and images, or even embed videos to explain key processes, showcase campaigns, and more. At Waybook, we support video embedding from a number of sources including YouTube, Vimeo, and Loom - you can find more about embedding videos here.

From this menu, you can also code snippets, quotes, and dividers, which are great for separating steps into easily digested sections.

What's more, you can insert 'pro tips' and other highlighted sections of text using callouts. This is a really useful feature if there are key points you really want your teammates to take note of, or additional tips or best practices you think could be useful for them.

Highlighting sections of text within a step will open the formatting menu, as shown in the screenshot above. From this menu, you can make text bold, italic, underlined, or strikethrough sections. You can also add links to other relevant SOPs or external pages and even change the color of your text using our palette or your own brand colors.

As we briefly touched on earlier, pressing the six dots to the right of the '+' icon will open up another menu where you can delete, duplicate, and change specific sections within your steps.

You can also use this menu to change the alignment of your text, the color of your text and even add emojis to help make your content even more engaging.

It's also really easy to reorder and organize your content within your document's steps, simply press and hold the menu icon to drag and drop the section to its new location within the step.

If you have any questions about the editor or difficulty using any of the features outlined in this article, feel free to get in touch with the support team - we're always happy to help πŸ™‚
