Encountering errors while trying to embed Google Drive content? No worries – you're in the right place. We're here to guide you through and help you identify the issue.
Ensure Your Google Documents are Published Online
If you are getting a 403 error this is due to forbidden access. This is mainly found when trying to embed Google Docs. If you're embedding them into Waybook, they need to be published online. Here's how:
Open your Google Document.
Click on File in the upper left corner.
Hover over Publish to the web and click on it.
Hit the Publish button.
Voilà! Your document is now online. Make sure to copy the correct link provided after publishing, and paste it into Waybook. If you need more help with this check out this help guide.
Re-think Your Video Embeds
Embedding videos can sometimes be a tricky dance. If you're experiencing hiccups:
Use video hosting platforms: Sites like YouTube or Vimeo can help. Just upload it there, then embed that link into Waybook.
Always keep your content links and permissions up-to-date, especially if making changes to the original content source.
