At Waybook, we are committed to listening to you, our incredible community, and continuing to build a product that empowers your teams to train efficiently, scale effectively and get your entire organisation on the same page.

With some exciting, epic features in the pipelines, this month the team have been working on some quality of life improvements to our user interface, our PDF export feature, template library and more.

Without further ado, let's take a look at some of the updates we've made πŸ‘‡

Moving subjects made easy

Since we launched categories back in March 2022, we've loved receiving your feedback and figuring out how we could make it even easier for you to reorganise your existing content into newly created categories.

Just as you can move documents between subjects, it is now possible to move your subjects between categories with ease πŸ‘‡

Canva embed support

The team are constantly adding to our list of supported embed sources, thanks to your generous feedback and bountiful requests. The latest addition to the growing list of platforms we support embedding from is Canva.

When embedding content from Canva, make sure you're using a link like this πŸ‘‡

You can find out more about our supported embed sources here and be sure to get in touch with your requests.

PDF export improvements

After listening to your feedback, we have made the following improvements and fixes to our PDF export feature:

Checkboxes

Any to-do lists and checkboxes that exist within your document steps will now be shown when you export documents from your Waybook as PDFs.

Fixed word boundaries

The team have now fixed a bug that was preventing longer words from being split between two lines. These should now be formatted properly when exporting documents from your Waybook as PDFs.

Template library improvements

Since launching our new and improved template library last month, we have been busy adding more content and making some improvements to spotlight contributors and making it easier to find the right template for you.

Authors

If you have a Waybook document you're particularly proud of and feel could be valuable to other members of the community, it's easy to submit a template to the team directly from the template library.

To shine a spotlight on the incredible work you've done, we now attribute all community-submitted templates to you and even link to your business. So if you think your product or service would be valuable to other Waybookers, this is a great way to help them find you and give them a taste of what you have to offer ✨

Search across the entire library

It's now even easier to find the template content you need with search now looking for results across the entire template library.

Remember, if you can't find the template you're looking for, get in touch with the team to share your request and we'll pass this on to our template team.

Update assignment settings

Updating the assignment settings on a template document is now even easier and we'll ask you to check these when adding a template to your own Waybook.

Be sure to check out our Essential Guide to Assigned Content for more information on when to assign content, how to assign content and what happens when content is assigned on Waybook.

Team member avatars

This has been a big request, especially from Waybook users operating within fully-remote organisations and one we have been very excited to launch.

Put a face to the name by encouraging your team members to add avatars to their Waybook profiles, by updating their personal settings πŸ‘‡
