Record a quick screen video without ever leaving Waybook. Our built-in Loom integration lets you capture tutorials, introductions, and walkthroughs right inside your steps - perfect for adding a personal touch and showing your team exactly how something is done.
How to Use Loom with Waybook
Getting started is simple. Here's how to create engaging video content directly within your Waybook steps:
Click the Loom icon in your Waybook editing toolbar. You can turn your camera on or off, and record a tab, a window, or your entire screen.
Once you click the Loom icon, you can begin your screen recording.
Once your recording is complete, you can embed the video into your current Waybook step or copy the link to include in another step.
Waybook's Loom integration helps you enrich your documentation with useful, visual guides that your team can access at any time.
Important Tips While Recording
To keep your recording running smoothly, keep the following in mind:
Do Not Close the Tab
Closing the Waybook tab where your recording is active will end the recording session early.
Avoid Editing the URL
Changing the URL of your Waybook tab during a recording will disrupt the session and break the recording.
Stay on the Waybook Tab
If you navigate away to another tab or window but want to insert the recording into your current step, head back to Waybook to end the recording. If the embed doesn't work, copy the embed link instead, return to Waybook, select the Web Embed option when editing your step, and paste the link from your clipboard.
This feature works on the following browsers: Google Chrome v90+, Microsoft Edge v90+, and Brave v1.22+.
You don't need a Loom account to get started. After your first 5 videos, you'll be prompted to create one.
