Perfect for tutorials, introductions, and more personalized communication. This powerful integration allows you to create more dynamic and personal content within your Waybook steps by adding screen recordings.

How to Use Loom with Waybook

Getting started with Loom in Waybook is simple and intuitive. Here's how you can begin creating engaging video content directly within your Waybook steps:

  1. Start Recording: Look for the Loom logo within any step of your Waybook. Click this icon to activate Loom’s screen recording feature. You can turn your camera on or off, and record a tab, a window, or record your entire screen.

  2. Record Your Content: Once you click the Loom icon, you can begin your screen recording.

  3. Finalizing Your Recording: Once your recording is complete, you can embed the video into your current Waybook step or copy the link to include in another step. Allowing you to enrich your documentation with useful, visual guides that are accessible at any time.

Important Tips While Recording

To ensure a smooth recording experience, please keep the following in mind:

  • Do Not Close the Tab: Closing the Waybook tab where your recording is active will end the recording session prematurely.

  • Avoid Editing the URL: Changing the URL of your Waybook tab during a recording will disrupt the session and break the recording.

  • Stay on the Waybook Tab: If you navigate away from Waybook to another tab or window, but want to insert the recording into your current step, you need to navigate back to Waybook to end the recording. If the embed doesn't work, you can copy the embed link instead and head back to Waybook. Select the "Web Embed" option when editing your step, and paste the URL from your clipboard.

This feature is only available for access on the following browsers; Google Chrome v90+, Microsoft Edge v90+, and Brave v1.22+.

You do not need to have a Loom account to use this feature but after you have used 5 videos you will need to create an account.
