Why am I not able to edit a document?

Are you being blocked from editing steps within a document? Find out why that might be in this article

To prevent issues caused by multiple people editing documents at the same time, you'll be alerted if a member of your team is already making changes within a step you're trying to update yourself.

If someone is already working on a step, you'll see an alert like the one below. We suggest you confirm with the other user if they are finished then "Take control of this step" this will allow you to make any of the edits that you might want to.

The page will refresh so you can see the updated version and they will be locked on their side. Once finished ensure that your work is saved and move on to another document to let them pick up where they left of.
