What are the different types of documents?
When creating content in Waybook, documents will require completion by default but they can also be a reference-only document.
When documents require completion, they will contribute towards your team member's overall progress within Waybook and will appear in their incomplete document on your dashboard.
Members will not be able to achieve 100% completion within your Waybook unless they complete all assigned documents.
Documents with the reference-only setting enabled will not contribute towards your team's overall progress in Waybook.
Assigning documents in Waybook
By default, all new documents will require completion - you can learn more about updating this setting and switching documents to reference-only here.
The quickest way to give your team access to the subjects and documents they need to review is by creating and updating your member groups. We tell you how to set up member groups and assign subject access here in the help center.
To assign content to a specific member, follow these steps:
Go to your Members settings.
Select the team member from this member list.
Now, choose between the following options:
Add a member group to assign all content the group has access to, or
Under Subject Permissions give the appropriate level of access to the subjects this team member should be able to engage with.
Once complete, this content will be visible to your team members on their dashboard in their incomplete tab.
What happens when a document is assigned?
When you give your team members access to content that requires completion, this content will appear on their main dashboard, and their progress will be tracked and shown in reports, as well as the left-hand menu.
As your members progress through this content and mark it as complete, they will be able to visually track their progress from their main dashboard.
What if a document is set up as reference-only?
Reference-only documents will only appear in your team members' library and will not count towards their overall progress in Waybook. They'll only be able to see these documents if they have access to the subject they sit within.
Updating assigned documents in Waybook
When you publish changes to a document that requires completion, we will ask whether you want to reset your team members' progress and notify them of the changes (major change) or simply publish a small change without notification (minor change).
Will the assigned team members need to re-complete the entire document?
If you choose to reset your team's progress and notify them of changes made to a document, we will only reset progress on any steps that have been updated.
Your team will be able to visually see which documents and steps have been updated and will only be required to review and mark them as complete, any unchanged content will still be marked as complete.
